A Birmingham-based construction consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its established project management team and deliver a diverse portfolio of projects across the Midlands. The successful Senior Project Manager will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, acting as the key point of contact for clients and leading consultant teams throughout delivery. This Senior Project Manager role is ideal for a confident Senior Project Manager who enjoys managing projects independently, developing client relationships and contributing to the continued success of a growing team. The Senior Project Manager will have the opportunity to work across a varied project portfolio whilst helping to win and secure future work.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience as a Project Manager to be considered for this role.
The Senior Project Manager's role
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects through all stages whilst ensuring client objectives are achieved.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading projects from feasibility through to completion
Acting as the primary point of contact for clients
Managing multidisciplinary consultant teams
Undertaking Project Management, Employer's Agent and Contract Administration duties
Managing project programmes, budgets and risks
Preparing and presenting client reports
Chairing project meetings and driving project delivery
Supporting business development and identifying new opportunities
Mentoring and supporting junior team members
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
The Senior Project Manager
The successful Senior Project Manager will have:
Previous construction consultancy experience
Experience delivering projects independently from inception to completion
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Experience undertaking Employer's Agent and/or Contract Administration duties
Commercial awareness and the ability to manage project profitability
Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Chartered status (MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM) or working towards chartership
Strong communication and leadership skills
