Our client is a well-established, multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across a broad range of sectors, including education, defence, commercial, residential, and public sector developments.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Oxford office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a leading role in project delivery, client management, and team development within a collaborative and supportive environment.
 
The Role
 
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will form part of a wider Building Services Engineering team, delivering high-quality electrical design solutions across a diverse project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
 
·Deliver electrical engineering projects to a high technical standard, on time and within budget.
·Lead electrical design activities across feasibility, concept, detailed design, and construction stages.
·Manage and coordinate project delivery, ensuring client requirements are met.
·Prepare detailed specifications, calculations, reports, and technical drawings.
·Meet with clients to establish project briefs, objectives, and budget requirements.
·Review tender submissions and prepare technical recommendations and reports.
·Oversee site works, monitor installation quality, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
·Carry out inspections of existing installations and produce condition reports.
·Support project financial management, including fee forecasting and invoicing.
·Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
·Manage workloads and support the professional development of team members.
·Assist with recruitment activities and resource planning when required.
·Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and identify new opportunities.
·Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives.
 
About You
 
·Degree or Master's qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
·Membership of CIBSE, IET, or an equivalent professional body.
·Chartered Engineer status, or be working towards chartership.
·Proven experience delivering electrical building services projects.
·Experience managing and mentoring junior engineers.
·Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, industry standards, building regulations, CIBSE guidance, and sustainability requirements.
·Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software such as Amtech.
·Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
·A proactive approach to client engagement and business development.
