A new opportunity has arisen to join a long-standing contractor; they are looking for an experienced Adoptions Manager to oversee the legal and technical handover of newly completed infrastructure.
Suitable candidates must have extensive knowledge of Utilities, Drainage and Roads as well as groundwork packages for residential sites. One of the main functions for this role is to ensure Adoptions are taken from inspection through to completion with the approved documentation, releasing bonds & maintenance to pass over to the correct authority.
The role:
* Oversee the compliance with adoptable standards (Highways S278, S38 Roads & Sewers, SWW S102, S104, S185)
* Liaise and document with clients and designers to obtain authorisation for changes to the agreed standards and drawings.
* Manage the remedial works required to ensure roads are adopted onv completed developments.
* Use and understand company operation and management systems.
* Provide advice and check that all records and inspections are undertaken and recorded.
The Person:
* Good knowledge and understanding of adoption and infrastructure works associated to new build housing estates – sewers, roads, utilities.
* Technically minded and a thorough understanding of relevant section agreements
* Legal understanding of bonds, certificates and title deeds.
* Experience in a similar role.
* Educated to HNC or degree level in either construction, planning or an engineering discipline will be advantageous
* A full driving license will be required as travel across the South West will be required
