Role Purpose

The Site Manager is responsible for overall site management, overseeing health and safety, quality assurance, progress reporting, and final project handover. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders-including production, finance, and transport-to support projects and ensure all program, operational, and contractual needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

Resource & Budget Management: Ensure effective and efficient use of departmental resources to meet contractual obligations, budget requirements, and strategic objectives.

Health & Safety: Manage Health & Safety on project sites, ensuring the company consistently meets its statutory obligations.

Team Coordination: Organize and monitor site labor levels and deliver regular toolbox talks.

Progress Tracking: Monitor and report on the progress of works, ensuring agreed programs and project timelines are achieved.

Documentation: Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and submit them to contractors.

Quality Assurance: Undertake strict QA checks as works proceed to ensure manufacturing and final finish standards are met.

Project Handover: Inspect finished works, present them to contractors for official handover, and attend internal project handover meetings.

Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in pre-contract and site progress meetings with internal and external parties (including Architects, Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Directors).

Key Competencies & Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience managing subcontract works and site delivery for tier-one contractors, ideally within a specialised architectural manufacturing or high-end construction environment.

Qualifications: CSCS Card Holder is essential. SSSTS or SMSTS qualification is preferred (training can be provided to the right candidate).

Technical Skills: Ability to interpret construction, architectural, and working drawings.

Compliance: Strong working knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.

Work Style: Commercially aware, highly organized, and able to prioritize workloads while working independently.

IT Literacy: Competent user of Microsoft Office suite.

Mobility: Full driving license is required due to travel commitments.
