Quantity Surveyor

Workman's Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded, long-established social housing contractor that has been trading for 80 years. They specialise in servicing long-term and unique planned capital works, cyclical decorations, major works, and retrofit schemes for some of the largest housing associations and councils.

You will play a crucial role within one of our contract teams, managing the financial aspects of awarded contracts from pre-contract tendering through to the final account phase. You will work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure the efficient financial management of the projects.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct price tender inquiries through on-site visits, including condition surveys, photographs, and measurements as needed.

* Provide accurate monthly valuations and manage accounts, ensuring all variation records are submitted promptly.

* Negotiate subcontractor rates, ensuring all necessary safety requirements are included.

* Offer clients precise price estimates for additional works.

* Assist in completing contract performance assessment sheets upon project completion.

Required Experience:

* Full Manual UK Driving License

* A recognised Quantity Surveying qualification.

* Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role in the construction industry

* Fully computer literate with proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel

* Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

* Knowledge of relevant construction contracts and procurement processes

Salary & Benefits:

* Basic Salary: £50,000 per annum
