Senior Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor (Greater London)

About the Role

A leading main contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 5+ years’ experience to take full commercial responsibility for major construction projects across London, typically valued between £10m–£100m+. You will play a key role in ensuring strong commercial performance from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

* Full commercial management of construction projects

* Cost control, forecasting, CVRs, and monthly reporting

* Subcontract procurement and package management

* Preparation and agreement of valuations and final accounts

* Management of variations, risks, and contractual matters

* Administration of JCT and/or NEC contracts

* Collaboration with project teams, clients, and consultants

Requirements

* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying

* Main contractor background essential

* Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts

* Experience managing projects/packages £10m+

* Strong commercial, negotiation, and analytical skills

* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
