Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways and earthworks project in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term contract on a significant infrastructure scheme, with works expected to run for 12 months and an immediate start available.

The Role

Working as part of the site delivery team, you will be responsible for setting out and overseeing highways and earthworks activities, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

* Setting out for highways, earthworks, drainage, and associated civil engineering works.

* Conducting site surveys and maintaining accurate setting-out records.

* Producing and managing as-built information.

* Monitoring quality and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

* Coordinating with subcontractors, site management, and client representatives.

* Supporting health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.

* Assisting with progress reporting and programme delivery.

* Identifying and resolving engineering and technical issues on site.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways, earthworks, or civil engineering projects.

* Strong setting-out and surveying capability using GPS and robotic total station equipment.

* Good understanding of earthworks operations, drainage, and highway construction.

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

* CSCS card essential.

* SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.

* Full UK driving licence preferred.
