Quantity Surveyor – Cladding & Facades
Quantity Surveyor – JCT Design & Build
This is a business where your voice genuinely matters. You won’t be a small cog in a rigid structure you’ll be part of a collaborative team where ideas are welcomed and actioned. If you see a better way of doing something, you will be empowered to implement it.
You will be joining a company that actively invests in its people. Their internal ethics committee (which you can be part of) continuously reviews how they operate, ensuring working conditions, decision-making, and business practices are fair, responsible, and progressive and benefit the team.
You will work in a close-knit and supportive team in a business that has built its reputation on trust, low staff turnover, and a genuine “we’re in this together” culture with no blame, just solutions and shared success.
We are partnered with a well-established Cladding & Façade contractor with a turnover of £32M. Their work spans both new build (70%) and recladding projects (30%) across education, healthcare, residential, and commercial sectors.
They are unaffected by Gateway 2, providing stability and continuity in what can often be a challenging market.
Due to a strong pipeline of secured work over the next 18 months, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of a Quantity Surveyor.
This role will see you take ownership of projects within a supportive framework, where collaboration is key and senior team members are always on hand when needed.
They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with solid experience working under JCT Design & Build contracts, as this forms the backbone of their project portfolio.
While the business is not contractually aggressive, the nature of façade and cladding projects particularly around design responsibility means it is essential you are confident in:
* Issuing correct notices
* Maintaining contractual compliance
* Protecting entitlement to extensions of time and managing risk effectively
A background across both main contracting and subcontracting environments will be considered. Experience in cladding or façades is advantageous, but by no means essential as sound knowledge of JCT contracts is the priority.
You will be part of a company that genuinely supports its people. There is always someone to lean on, whether you need commercial guidance or just a second opinion. The culture is open and honest, where mistakes are not frowned upon, they are learned from collectively.
