The OpportunityA leading building services and engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team in Scotland.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused professional to take ownership of the financial management of major M&E and multi-discipline projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors, you will play a key role in protecting profitability, managing risk and driving successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of multiple building services and engineering projects
Prepare, manage and report project budgets, forecasts and cost plans
Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, valuations and final accounts
Prepare and submit applications for payment, variations and claims
Monitor project costs, identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
Provide accurate financial reporting and performance updates to senior management
Support operational teams in delivering projects safely, efficiently and profitably
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
Mentor and support junior commercial team members where requiredWhat We're Looking ForEssential
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction, building services or M&E sector
Strong understanding of commercial management across complex projects
Experience administering standard forms of contract, including NEC and/or JCT
Excellent cost management, forecasting and reporting skills
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
Full UK driving licenceDesirable
Experience working on large-scale M&E, energy or infrastructure projects
Membership of, or working towards, a recognised professional body such as RICS or CIOB
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
