A respected construction consultancy based in London is looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This Assistant Project Manager opportunity offers the chance to work on a range of high-profile commercial projects, supporting experienced Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors, assisting in the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from inception through to completion.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Assistant Project Manager's role
The Assistant Project Manager will support senior members of the project management team across a portfolio of commercial developments throughout London.
Key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with project planning, programming and delivery
Supporting client meetings and stakeholder engagement
Monitoring project progress, risks and key milestones
Coordinating consultants, contractors and wider project teams
Preparing reports, meeting minutes and project documentation
Assisting with procurement and contract administration activities
Supporting cost, programme and quality management processes
Ensuring projects are delivered in line with client objectives
The Assistant Project Manager
The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:
Previous experience within a construction consultancy environment
Commercial sector project experience
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
Strong organisational and communication skills
A proactive and professional approach
Working towards or interested in pursuing professional accreditation such as APM, RICS or CIOB
A genuine desire to develop a long-term career in construction project management
