A respected M&E contractor based in Rochford, Essex is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing and upcoming projects across the region. With a strong pipeline of commercial, residential, and public sector schemes 🔧🏢🏠, this role offers excellent job stability, project variety, and the chance to progress within a growing team.
You’ll work alongside a well-established commercial and project delivery team, handling both mechanical and electrical packages from start to finish.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

📊 Manage the financial aspects of M&E works across multiple projects

📑 Prepare and review tender documents, subcontractor packages, and valuations
*
🧾 Monitor budgets, variations, and final accounts
*
🧰 Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams for cost control
*
💬 Attend progress meetings and provide accurate commercial updates
*
📈 Identify value engineering opportunities and manage cost risk
✅ Requirements:
*
🎓 Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or similar
*
🔧 Minimum 3–5 years' experience in M&E or building services surveying
*
🏗️ Familiarity with both mechanical and electrical packages
*
🧠 Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
*
🗂️ Proficient with standard contracts (e.g., JCT) and cost management tools
*
🚘 Full UK driving licence (local travel required)
