Salary: £65,000 – £73,000 + package

Overview

A well-established, privately owned mechanical, electrical and renewable services contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Contract Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects across the South of England.

The business operates across commercial, industrial, and large-scale residential sectors, delivering full MEP solutions from design through to installation and handover. The role is key to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical packages across multiple projects
Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain to ensure effective delivery
Ensure projects are delivered on programme and within budget
Work closely with pre-construction and estimating teams during project handover
Monitor project performance, costs, and commercial positions
Manage procurement and coordination of plant, materials, and subcontract services
Attend and lead project meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors
Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
Identify and manage project risks, variations, and value engineering opportunities
Maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders

Key Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanical Contract Manager or Senior Project Manager within an M&E / building services contractor
Strong background delivering commercial, industrial, or residential building services projects
Solid understanding of HVAC, heating, ventilation, and mechanical systems
Experience working with main contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Desirable

Experience on projects incorporating renewable technologies and energy-efficient systems
Knowledge of design-and-build project delivery
SMSTS, CSCS and relevant health & safety qualifications
