A well-established construction consultancy based in Manchester is looking to appoint a Project Manager to join its growing project management team. This Project Manager opportunity offers the chance to work across a varied portfolio of projects for both public and private sector clients, delivering schemes from inception through to completion. The successful Project Manager will join a consultancy with an excellent reputation in the market, providing exposure to high-quality projects, strong client relationships and clear career progression opportunities.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project delivery, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring successful outcomes across a range of sectors. You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will lead projects through all stages of the project lifecycle, acting as the key point of contact for clients and project teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing projects from feasibility through to completion and handover
Coordinating consultants, contractors and key stakeholders
Developing and maintaining project programmes
Monitoring project budgets and reporting on financial performance
Managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Leading project meetings and client communications
Supporting procurement and tender processes
Monitoring project progress against programme and key milestones
Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed quality, cost and time objectives
Building and maintaining strong client relationships

The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

Previous construction consultancy experience
Experience delivering projects through the full project lifecycle
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
Good programme, commercial and risk management capabilities
Experience working across pre and post-contract stages
Chartered status or progression towards MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or equivalent would be advantageous
A proactive and professional approach to project delivery
