A leading international construction contractor is seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to join the team delivering a landmark residential development in Dorchester.

This exciting project will provide purpose-built apartments for key workers, helping to address the growing demand for affordable, high-quality accommodation for essential workers within the local community.

What you’ll be doing

* Supporting the Site Management team with the day-to-day running of site operations

* Assisting in the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers and site activities across the project

* Monitoring works to ensure programme, quality and safety standards are achieved

* Promoting and maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance on site

* Assisting with site inspections, quality checks and progress reporting

* Supporting site logistics, deliveries and workforce coordination activities

* Helping to manage project documentation, permits and site records

* Monitoring workmanship and ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications

* Supporting subcontractor meetings and communication across site teams

* Assisting with commissioning, snagging and handover activities

What we’re looking for

* Previous experience in an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Trainee Site Manager role within construction

* Experience working for a main contractor is preferred

* Housing project experience desirable

* Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced construction environment
