Senior Quantity Surveyor
A client-focused construction consultancy in Central London is seeking a confident and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take a leading role on prestigious projects while contributing to the continued growth of a highly regarded consultancy.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor's Role
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will become part of a collaborative Quantity Surveying team that also delivers Project Management and Employer's Agent services. Projects are diverse and high-profile, spanning commercial, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and refurbishment sectors across London and the South East.
Day to day, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead projects from inception through to completion, taking responsibility for cost planning, procurement, contract administration, risk management, valuations, and final accounts. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also play a key role in managing client relationships, mentoring junior surveyors, and supporting the delivery of exceptional service across the consultancy's project portfolio.
This role offers significant client exposure, project autonomy, and a clear pathway towards Associate-level progression.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor – Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a RICS-accredited equivalent
MRICS qualified or equivalent professional status
Minimum of 5 years' cost consultancy experience
Strong pre-contract and post-contract expertise
Excellent cost planning and procurement knowledge
Experience leading projects independently
Proven client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members
Professional, commercially aware, and driven
