The Opportunity
A growing and well-respected main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of fire remediation projects across East London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured works, delivering essential fire safety and building compliance upgrades across occupied residential and mixed-use developments. Working closely with project and commercial teams, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with residents, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day delivery of fire remediation and building safety projects
Oversee subcontractors carrying out works including fire stopping, compartmentation, cladding remediation, insulation replacement, and associated upgrades
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Manage site programmes and coordinate labour, materials, and plant requirements
Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks
Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures, and industry regulations
Coordinate resident liaison activities and ensure minimal disruption to occupied buildings
Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks where necessary
Chair site meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management
Ensure all project documentation, inspections, and handover requirements are completed accurately
Experience:
Proven experience as a Site Manager within a main contractor or specialist contractor environment
Previous experience delivering fire remediation, cladding remediation, façade, passive fire protection, or building safety projects
Experience working within occupied residential environments would be advantageous
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site management procedures
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme performance
Strong stakeholder management skills with a client-focused approach

First Aid at Work
Desirable:
NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent
Fire Safety or Passive Fire Protection qualifications
