Exciting new opportunity for a Bid Writer to work for a leading principal contractor to work out of their new regional office in Merseyside.
Due to the opening of a North West business unit of a national main contractor with a turnover of c.£300 million, there is an opportunity for an ambitious Bid Writer to make a real impact to a growing region. The company are a multi-disciplinary build contractor specialising in both private and public sector construction projects. Typical project values range between £1m – £20m on both single & two stage tenders.
Responsibilities for Bid Writer
As a Bid Writer, you'll be working within the work winning pre construction team supporting the division in securing new contracts across a diverse range of private and public sector construction projects.
Your day to day will include:
Writing and editing compelling bid proposals for building contracts across the education, health, commercial, industrial, residential, infrastructure and leisure sectors in line with client bid strategy and key win themes
Collaborating with operational, technical and commercial teams to develop high-quality submissions that meet strict deadlines
Leading team sessions and participating in workshops to agree winning strategies, themes and key messages
Researching client requirements and business needs to contribute to win themes, and maintaining a bid library of previous responses and evidence
Undertaking site visits, producing case studies and supporting evidence gathering and lessons learned workshops
Experience required for Bid Writer
Proven skills in writing and editing bid proposal content in a similar business context, preferably in a Tier 1 or 2 Main Contractor build environment
Academically qualified to HND/ BSc level or equivalent
Ability to effectively review and edit bid content from construction and other professional personnel
Excellent written, communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work at pace under pressure
Proficiency in all major MS Office platforms and have strong time management skills
Salary & Package on offer
Salary between £45,000 – £55,000 dependent on level & length of experience.
