Regsitered Building Inspector – Class 2F

Our client, a council authority that ensures compliance with building regulations, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector – Class 2F to join their Building Control department on a contract basis for maternity cover.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspecting building sites to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and building codes
Assessing plans, specifications, and construction practices to verify compliance
Issuing notices and reports related to building inspections
Providing expert advice to builders, developers, and property owners
Investigating complaints and conducting follow-up inspections as required
Maintaining accurate records of all inspections and findings
Collaborating with the Building Control team to ensure consistency in service delivery
Staying updated with changes in building regulations and industry best practices

Job Requirements:

Experience in Building Control within the construction industry
Registered Building Inspector – Class 2F certification
Strong understanding of statutory regulations and building codes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide clear and comprehensive reports and notices
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications in building inspection or a related field
