Location: Plymouth, Devon
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

* Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and project requirements.

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing schedules for commercial construction projects.

* Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

* Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analysis.

* Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.

* Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the tender process.

* Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents.

* Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and pricing data.

* Support project handovers to operational teams upon successful tender awards.

* Monitor market trends, material costs, and labour rates.

Requirements

* Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.

* Strong experience working on commercial property projects.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

* HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

* Experience pricing refurbishment, fit-out, and new-build commercial projects.

* Knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement methods.
