Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Dewey Group is proud to be representing a well-established UK ground engineering contractor in the search for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding technical team.
With over 40 years of experience in delivering specialist piling and foundation solutions to the construction industry, this company has built a strong reputation for engineering excellence, safety, and innovation. As they continue to grow, this position will play a key role in supporting technically complex design and build projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake detailed geotechnical assessments and provide foundation solutions across a wide range of project sectors.
*
Carry out analysis, design, and specification for specialist foundations, retaining structures, and ground improvement schemes.
*
Liaise closely with clients, internal departments, and external consultants to ensure cost-effective, buildable solutions are developed.
*
Provide technical support to bid and operations teams throughout the preconstruction and delivery phases.
*
Review site investigation data and ensure geotechnical risks are appropriately identified and managed.
*
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
What We're Looking For
*
Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (postgraduate qualification desirable).
*
Significant experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally with a background in piling or ground improvement.
*
Strong working knowledge of relevant design codes and software (e.g., GeoStudio, WALLAP, Repute, etc.).
*
Experience producing geotechnical design reports and foundation solutions.
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
*
Chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, GeolSoc).
*
Willingness to travel to sites and regional offices when required.
