Job Title: Trainee Quantity Surveyor
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £20,000-£30,000

This role sits within a specialist offsite construction business delivering panelised building solutions across the UK. The position exists to support the commercial team as part of continued growth, offering structured development into a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor. It would suit a recent graduate in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline seeking practical experience in a modern construction environment, with exposure to the full project lifecycle and mentorship from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with procurement, negotiation, and administration of subcontract packages
Support the preparation and submission of client payment applications in line with contract terms
Contribute to project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities
Help identify and manage commercial and contractual risks
Monitor project progress against programme to support delivery teams
Assist in managing insurances, bonds, and financial compliance requirements
Support preparation and agreement of valuations and final accounts
Contribute to maintaining strong client relationships and service deliveryExperience Required:
Recently completed a degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline
Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
Good communication and collaborative working ability
Basic understanding of construction or commercial processes
Professional and organised approach to workDesirable:
Previous experience within construction or subcontracting environments
Exposure to the education sector or similar project types
Valid UK driving licence or working towards obtaining oneAdditional Information:
