Quantity Surveyor – Finland
The Opportunity
We are supporting a leading international construction contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across Europe.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a project team in Finland.
This position offers the opportunity to work on complex construction projects within a fast-paced environment, supporting the successful commercial delivery of major programmes while working alongside experienced project and commercial teams.
The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management, subcontractor administration, procurement support, commercial reporting and client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management
Support the commercial management of projects from commencement through to final account
Assist with procurement and subcontract package administration
Monitor subcontractor and supplier accounts, payments and variations
Support budget management and cost reporting activities
Prepare valuations, change management documentation and final accounts
Assist with forecasting, cost control and commercial reporting
Maintain accurate commercial records and supporting documentation
Support client and stakeholder communications on commercial matters
Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycleProject Support
Work closely with project delivery and commercial leadership teams
Support contract administration and compliance activities
Contribute to the successful commercial performance of the project
Build effective working relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying or commercial role
Experience working within construction, engineering or technical project environments
Strong understanding of cost management, procurement and contract administration
Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and variations
Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
Strong organisational and time management skills
Experience working on large-scale construction projects would be advantageous
