Senior Quantity Surveyor – Sweden
We are supporting a leading international construction contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across Europe.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major project in Sweden.
This is a key commercial position responsible for managing the contractual and financial performance of the project, ensuring effective cost control, risk management, procurement, and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership teams and play a significant role in driving commercial performance while supporting the successful delivery of a complex construction programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Management
Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project lifecycle
Prepare, review and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost reports
Lead procurement activities including subcontractor tendering, evaluation and contract negotiation
Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts
Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities
Prepare interim valuations, applications for payment and final account submissions
Evaluate and manage change control and variation processes
Ensure contractual documentation is maintained and administered correctly
Provide commercial reporting and financial updates to senior project stakeholders
Support successful project close-out and final account agreementStakeholder & Team Collaboration
Work closely with Project Managers, Package Managers and project delivery teams
Provide commercial advice and support across the wider project function
Attend commercial reviews, project meetings and client-facing discussions
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
Support best practice and continuous improvement across commercial processes
Requirements
Minimum 8 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying or commercial role
Experience working for a main contractor or large construction organisation
Strong experience managing the commercial aspects of major construction projects
Proven track record in procurement, contract administration and cost control
Experience managing valuations, variations, claims and final accounts
Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience within data centre, mission-critical, industrial or large-scale technical construction environments would be advantageousWhat's on Offer
