Location: Bishop’s Stortford
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + Package

Are you an experienced Contracts Manager looking to take the next step in your career with a well-established and growing main contractor? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable construction company based in Bishop’s Stortford, delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors.

The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects valued up to £10m across the education, retail, commercial, healthcare and community sectors. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee multiple live construction projects from inception through to completion

* Manage Site Managers, subcontractors, and project delivery teams across several sites

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures

* Monitor project progress, budgets, and programmes, taking corrective action where necessary

* Attend client meetings and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

* Provide leadership and support to site teams to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager with a main contractor

* Strong understanding of commercial and operational aspects of project delivery

* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Strong knowledge of construction processes and health & safety regulations
