Site Manager
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of commercial and retail construction projects for a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of work.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy business delivering fast-paced refurbishment, fit-out and new build schemes across the commercial and retail sectors.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing site operations from start through to completion.
* Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site labour.
* Ensuring works are completed in accordance with programme and specification.
* Maintaining excellent health & safety standards across site.
* Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
* Liaising with clients, consultants and the wider project team.
* Managing site documentation including RAMS, permits and site records.
* Monitoring quality and resolving on-site issues proactively.
* Producing regular progress updates for senior management.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
* Proven experience managing commercial and/or retail construction projects.
* Experience delivering refurbishments, fit-outs or new build schemes.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Excellent knowledge of health & safety legislation and site compliance.
* The ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme.
* A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Essential Requirements
* SMSTS
* Black or Gold CSCS Card
* First Aid at Work
* Full UK Driving Licence
