About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing and upcoming civil engineering and infrastructure projects in the West Midlands region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected contractor delivering a range of infrastructure works including highways, drainage, public realm, and utilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all commercial aspects of assigned civil engineering projects.

Prepare and manage project budgets, cost reports, valuations, and final accounts.
*
Ensure accurate and timely cost forecasting and reporting.
*
Assess subcontractor applications, valuations, and payments.
*
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients on financial progress.
*
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
*
Monitor contract compliance and ensure best practices in procurement.
*
Support tender preparation and project planning when required.
Requirements:
*
Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.
*
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (ideally NEC3/4).
*
Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
*
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial software (e.g. COINS, Causeway, or similar).
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to regional project sites.
Desirable:
*
Chartered or working toward RICS/CICES qualification.
*
Previous experience working with tier-2/tier-1 contractors.
