My client is a respected and award-winning main contractor specialising in residential new build developments across East London. With a strong track record delivering both private sale and affordable housing schemes, they are now looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead their growing team.

Role Overview:

As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Quantity Surveyors across multiple residential projects. Your focus will be on delivering commercial strategy, maintaining ethical practices, and ensuring robust cost control and cash flow management across the division.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing a team of surveyors at all levels
Developing and implementing commercial strategy
Driving high behavioural and ethical standards across the commercial function
Managing supply chain relationships and performance
Running monthly commercial and cash flow meetings
Ensuring contractual compliance and risk management across projects

Experience Required:

15+ years' commercial experience, ideally with a main contractor or housebuilder
Proven track record on new build residential apartment schemes
Strong knowledge of various contract forms (JCT, D&B, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to project delivery
