Health & Safety / CDM Advisor (Principal Designer)

We're working with a well-established, employee-focused multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to appoint a Health & Safety / CDM Advisor with Principal Designer experience to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work on a varied portfolio of projects across multiple sectors, supporting clients and design teams throughout the project lifecycle. You'll play a key role in delivering CDM Principal Designer services, ensuring projects are compliant while helping clients create safer, better-designed buildings.

The Role

You'll be responsible for providing Health & Safety and CDM advice to a wide range of clients, acting as Principal Designer where required and supporting project teams from concept through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Acting as CDM Principal Designer on a range of construction projects.

* Advising clients and design teams on their duties under the CDM Regulations 2015.

* Coordinating health and safety throughout the pre-construction phase.

* Identifying and managing design risks.

* Preparing and reviewing CDM documentation.

* Liaising with clients, designers, contractors and other stakeholders.

* Managing multiple projects simultaneously.

* Supporting the continued growth and development of the Health & Safety team.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

* Experience delivering CDM Principal Designer services.

* A strong understanding of the CDM Regulations 2015.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

* The ability to manage a varied workload independently.

* Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH or above preferred).

* APS membership (or working towards it) would be advantageous.
