Our client, a well-established and respected property consultancy, is seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, heritage, education, and public sectors, delivering a broad range of professional surveying and project management services.
This role is ideal for a Chartered Building Surveyor who enjoys managing projects, delivering professional surveying services, and building lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
The Role As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will:
Deliver a range of professional Building Surveying services, including surveys, defect diagnosis, dilapidations, schedules of condition, and technical due diligence.
Manage refurbishment, maintenance, and new build projects from inception through to completion.
Act as Contract Administrator and/or Employer's Agent where required.
Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities.
Attend site inspections, project meetings, and monitor works on site.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards.
Mentor junior team members where appropriate. About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor status (essential).
Proven post-qualification experience within a UK consultancy.
Strong experience delivering both professional Building Surveying services and Project Management/Contract Administration.
Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction contracts.
Experience working across multiple sectors.
Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
A proactive, commercial approach to client service.
