Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist

Conrad Consulting have partnered with our longstanding client to recruit a Senior Technician / Technologist based in their Central London practice, leading the technical delivery of projects across multiple RIBA work stages.

This is an opportunity to join an outstanding practice with a growing residential team, taking ownership of detailed drawing packages, technical coordination and construction stage delivery.

The Role

As the Senior Technician/Technologist, you'll provide senior technical input, support junior staff, and help ensure project outputs are accurate, buildable and compliant. Day to day, that means:

Leading the preparation of detailed architectural drawing packages using Revit and AutoCAD

Producing and reviewing technical design information in line with UK Building Regulations, planning requirements and British Standards

Coordinating planning, tender, construction and as-built information across RIBA work stages

Reviewing consultant, contractor and specialist supplier information to resolve coordination issues

Undertaking site surveys, inspections and technical reviews

Attending and contributing to project, design team and site meetings

Preparing and reviewing specifications, schedules and statutory submission information

Supporting Building Regulation submissions and responding to approving authorities

Maintaining drawing registers, revision control and project documentation

Mentoring and supporting Technicians, Technologists and junior team members

Identifying technical risks, buildability issues and coordination concerns early

What You'll Bring

Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline

CIAT accreditation desirable

Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning requirements, British Standards and CDM regulations

Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

Strong technical detailing, coordination and construction knowledge

Experience leading or coordinating technical drawing packages across multiple RIBA work stages

Experience reviewing and coordinating consultant, contractor and specialist supplier information

Ability to identify and resolve technical, regulatory and coordination issues

Strong organisational, communication and mentoring skills

Experience working within a UK architectural or multidisciplinary practice environment

What's on Offer?

Salary between £48,000 – £52,000 dependent on experience
