Location: Birmingham
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Package

A leading fit out contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Document Controller to join their Birmingham team. Working on high-profile fit out projects, you will play a key role in managing project documentation, ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and distributed efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering fast-paced Cat A and Cat B fit out schemes across the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all project documentation using Asite and Dalux.

*

Maintain and administer the Common Data Environment (CDE) in line with ISO 19650 standards.

*

Upload, distribute and archive drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

*

Ensure all document revisions are correctly controlled and issued to project teams.

*

Monitor drawing revisions and maintain document registers.

*

Liaise with site teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.

*

Produce reports on document status and outstanding information.

*

Support project teams in maintaining information management processes throughout the project lifecycle.

*

Assist with the management of project information to support Building Safety and regulatory compliance where required.

*

Ensure all documentation complies with company procedures, quality standards and project requirements.

Requirements

*

Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction or fit out sector.

*

Strong working knowledge of Asite and Dalux is essential.

*

Good understanding and practical experience of ISO 19650 information management standards.

*

Ideally have knowledge of Building Safety legislation and the Golden Thread of information.

*

Experience managing project documentation across multiple live projects.

*

Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

*

Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with project teams, consultants and subcontractors.

*

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
