Contracts Manager – Facilities Management

Location: Coventry, with travel across the Midlands and UK
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus car allowance
Contract: Permanent, full-time

The Opportunity

An established and growing facilities management business is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a varied portfolio of commercial maintenance, refurbishment and property-improvement projects.

You will take ownership of multiple live contracts from initial instruction through to completion, coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials, schedules and client requirements.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced SME, requiring someone who can make confident decisions, resolve problems quickly and keep projects moving when priorities change.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing multiple FM, maintenance and refurbishment projects from start to finish

* Planning schedules, labour, subcontractors, materials and equipment

* Monitoring progress through regular site visits

* Identifying risks, delays and resource issues, taking prompt corrective action

* Reallocating labour and reprioritising workloads when required

* Managing clients, project updates, variations, costs and budgets

* Ensuring compliance with RAMS, health and safety and company procedures

* Working closely with operational, administration and coordination teams

About You

You will have previous experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager within facilities management, commercial maintenance, refurbishment, building services or construction.

You will also need:

* Experience managing several live projects or sites

* Strong scheduling, organisation and resource-planning skills

* Confident decision-making and practical problem-solving ability

* Experience managing direct labour, subcontractors and suppliers

* Good commercial awareness

* Strong communication and leadership skills

* Knowledge of RAMS and site health and safety

* A full UK driving licence
