A leading residential developer is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on high-quality new build residential developments, with projects valued up to £20m and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.

As Quantity Surveyor you’ll play a key role in managing the commercial performance of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with the wider project team to ensure developments are delivered on time and within budget.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of new build residential projects, including:

Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects valued up to £20m

Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and cost reports

Procurement and management of subcontract packages

Preparing, reviewing and negotiating subcontract packages and orders

Managing valuations, variations, payments and final accounts

About You

We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience within new build residential construction, ideally with exposure to projects of a similar scale.

You’ll ideally have:

Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry

Experience delivering new build residential projects

Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management

Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and final accounts

Strong cost control and reporting skills

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

A commercially focused and proactive approach

Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
