A boutique construction consultancy in London is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to become a key member of its growing cost management team. Working across a broad range of residential, commercial, heritage, education, and mixed-use developments, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of projects while enjoying the flexibility and recognition that comes with a close-knit consultancy environment.

The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for delivering cost management services from project inception through to completion. You'll work directly with clients and consultants, providing accurate commercial advice, managing procurement strategies, administering contracts, and ensuring projects remain on budget throughout every phase of delivery.

This role is perfectly suited to a Project Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working independently, values strong client relationships, and is looking to progress within a consultancy where individual performance is recognised and rewarded.

Project Quantity Surveyor – Key Responsibilities:

Delivering pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services across multiple projects

Preparing feasibility estimates, cost plans, and project budgets

Managing procurement exercises, tender documentation, and contractor appointments

Monitoring project costs through valuations, variations, and financial reporting

Administering contracts and assisting with final account negotiations

Attending client meetings, design workshops, and site inspections

Providing proactive commercial advice throughout the construction process

Project Quantity Surveyor – Candidate Requirements:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

Previous UK consultancy experience in a Quantity Surveying role

Strong understanding of cost planning, procurement, and contract administration

Good knowledge of JCT contracts and standard procurement routes

Excellent communication and client relationship management skills

MRICS qualified or working towards chartership would be advantageous

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple live projects

In Return:

£55,000-£62,500 per annum

25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
