An established construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Cambridge office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to work on an impressive portfolio of projects across commercial, life sciences, residential, education, and mixed-use sectors, while building lasting relationships with a diverse client base.

The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will play a central role in delivering cost consultancy services throughout the entire construction process. You will provide commercial guidance from initial feasibility and budgeting through procurement, contract administration, cost reporting, and final account, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.

This role would suit a Project Quantity Surveyor who is looking to broaden their technical expertise, take ownership of client-facing responsibilities, and continue progressing within a consultancy that encourages professional development and recognises individual achievement.

Project Quantity Surveyor – Key Responsibilities:

Preparing budgets, cost plans, and early-stage commercial advice

Managing procurement processes and producing tender documentation

Administering contracts, valuations, variations, and cost reporting

Monitoring project expenditure and preparing financial forecasts

Attending client, contractor, and design team meetings

Supporting successful project delivery from inception through to completion

Developing strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders

Project Quantity Surveyor – Candidate Requirements:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

Previous UK consultancy experience within a Quantity Surveying role

Experience delivering both pre- and post-contract services

Good understanding of JCT contracts and procurement methods

Strong communication and client-facing skills

MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership would be advantageous

Well organised with the ability to manage multiple projects

In Return:

£50,000-£60,000 per annum
