Quantity Surveyor

The Company:

We’re working with a Construction and Maintenance company who successfully deliver projects for a variety of clients across the North West.

They have a range of divisions undertaking projects from £100.00 to £5m. They are currently turning over circa £15 Million.

The Role:

They are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for their Small Works division, which has an annual turnover of around £3m.

They have 10 staff members in the Small Works division, plus the boots on the ground guys.

Some duties at the company may include:

•             Working on Eque2 Construction Manager software, invoicing for the above schemes, if this is Responsive Repairs the build-up will be done retrospectively so will need knowledge of estimating / the process in how to complete a variety of tasks [plumbing, joinery, electrical etc.]

•             Tendering for the smaller schemes and dealing with requests for small quotes from £100 to £350

•             CVRs for the above schemes

•             Requesting quotations & placing material & sub-contractor orders/issuing Pos

•             Monitoring Invoices from subbies and suppliers and cross check with POs for payment

•             Possibility of covering QS services their construction division, including JCT/NEC management etc.

You:

•             They would like to recruit somebody at Quantity Surveyor level, however are open to hearing from Final Year Students, Graduate and Assistant Quantity Surveyors.

•             They would like to recruit somebody who has practical on-site experience, ideally from a trades background.

•             You will be able to commute to their office in Greater Manchester.
