Quantity Surveyor
Location: London (Hybrid – Office/Site-based, 60%/40%)
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + Package

A growing construction and building services contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support delivery of a range of refurbishment and specialist projects across the commercial, healthcare and office sectors. Typical project values range from £50k to £5 million, including high-spec medical environments, cladding packages, MEP-led projects and CAT A/B office refurbishments.
This Quantity Surveyor role offers excellent scope for development and long-term career progression in a business with a strong commercial pipeline and collaborative team culture.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Support the full commercial lifecycle from tender through to final account
* Prepare accurate BoQs, cost plans and undertake quantity take-offs
* Issue and assess subcontractor enquiries; negotiate best value packages
* Monitor and manage subcontractor accounts, interim payments and variations
* Draft contractual correspondence to clients and supply chain partners
* Attend site visits, valuations and commercial meetings
* Liaise with internal delivery teams to ensure commercial alignment
* Maintain robust cost control and reporting across live projects
* Support risk management, value engineering and cash flow forecasting
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
Required Experience and Qualifications:
* Degree-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
* Knowledge of JCT contracts and SMM7 (or equivalent)
* Proven experience working across construction or MEP-led projects
* Excellent numeracy, negotiation and communication skills
* Strong MS Excel and IT proficiency
* Full UK driving licence required
