A well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor in the North West is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the region.
Role Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects, ensuring competitiveness and financial control.
Tender Preparation: Create and manage tender documentation, including bills of quantities, to support the procurement process.
Contract Administration: Handle contract negotiations, manage obligations, and oversee variations and claims.
Financial Reporting: Track project costs, produce forecasts, and deliver regular financial updates to stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to reduce exposure.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to meet financial targets.
Compliance: Ensure all financial practices adhere to current regulations and industry standards. Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the construction or civil engineering sector. Skills
Proficient in cost management and financial analysis
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
