Electrical Project Manager

UKR Group

UKR Group is recruiting a hands-on Electrical Project Manager with a strong commercial fit-out background to run electrical installation projects across London. You'll take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating clients, main contractors, design teams and site labour to deliver on time, on budget and to spec.

This is a hands-on role. You won't be managing from behind a desk. You'll be on site, in the meetings, and across the detail from pre-start to handover.

What you'll be doing

* Managing electrical installation projects on commercial fit-out sites from pre-start through to practical completion and handover

* Planning and programming electrical works, coordinating with the main contractor's overall project schedule

* Liaising with clients, architects, M&E consultants and other trades to keep delivery smooth

* Managing labour, subcontractors and material procurement to keep projects on track

* Monitoring project costs against budget, tracking variations and change orders

* Ensuring all works comply with BS 7671, building regulations and health and safety standards

* Carrying out site inspections and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle

* Preparing and managing O&M manuals, test certificates and handover documentation

* Attending site and progress meetings, reporting status to senior management and clients

* Identifying and managing project risks, resolving issues as they arise on site

What we're looking for

* Proven experience managing electrical installation projects, ideally in commercial fit-out

* Strong commercial fit-out background

* Solid working knowledge of BS 7671, building regulations and site health and safety

* Confident coordinating clients, main contractors, consultants and trades

* Commercially sharp, comfortable tracking budgets, variations and change orders

* Relevant tickets an advantage (SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, ECS or JIB, first aid)

* Organised, hands-on, and happy to be on site and in the room, not behind a desk
