Opportunity for a Project Manager to join a leading construction contractor working on the prestigious Botanic Place development in Cambridge.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-quality developments across the commercial, residential, life sciences and mixed-use sectors. Working alongside an experienced project team, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of a major development in the heart of Cambridge.

About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of the Botanic Place project in Cambridge.
Reporting into the Project Director, the successful candidate will oversee the project from construction through to completion, managing programme, commercial performance, quality, health and safety and stakeholder relationships.
The Project Manager will work closely with the design, commercial, engineering and construction teams, as well as the client, consultants and specialist subcontractors, to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards.
Responsibilities for Project Manager
Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the project
Lead and coordinate project teams, subcontractors and specialist suppliers
Manage programme, sequencing and project delivery against key milestones
Monitor project costs and work closely with the commercial team to maintain financial performance
Coordinate design development and ensure technical information is delivered in line with programme requirements
Manage client, consultant and supply chain relationships throughout the project
Chair progress and coordination meetings and provide regular updates to senior project stakeholders
Identify and manage project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies
Ensure high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance
Monitor construction progress and ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements
Coordinate commissioning, completion and handover activities
Drive quality and continuous improvement throughout the project
Lead and mentor members of the wider project teamRequirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering major construction projects
Strong background within commercial, residential, life sciences, mixed-use or other complex construction environments
Demonstrable experience managing projects from construction through to completion
Strong understanding of programme, commercial and construction management
Experience managing subcontractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
SMSTS and CSCS essential
