ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
(Intermediate & Senior Needed)
Major Infrastructure | Routewide Buildings | Long-Term Programme
We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer (Both intermediate and senior level) to support the delivery of nine technically complex buildings across the HS2 route.
The programme includes portal buildings, tunnel shafts and pumping-station buildings associated with major railway and tunnel infrastructure. The assets incorporate HV/LV distribution, lighting, fire systems, communications, SCADA/BMS, ventilation, lifts and other specialist building services.
Civil works are progressing on site, with the wider programme to include all the new associated works
Key responsibilities:
Support the design coordination and delivery of electrical building-services packages
Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical submissions
Coordinate HV/LV, lighting, controls, fire and communications installations
Review contractor proposals for compliance and constructability
Manage interfaces with mechanical, structural, civil and architectural works
Resolve technical queries and support site teams during installation
Review proposed field changes and non-conformances
Monitor electrical quality, testing, commissioning and handover activities
Liaise with designers, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives
Identify technical and programme risks before they affect construction Candidate requirements:
Strong electrical engineering or electrical building-services experience
Experience delivering packages for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor
Knowledge of design coordination, installation, testing and commissioning
Ability to review electrical drawings and technical documentation
Experience working across multidisciplinary construction packages
Strong communication and problem-solving skills Applications are welcomed from Senior Electrical Engineers working within main build, building services, industrial construction or major commercial projects.
