Senior Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Lead

Grade I & II Listed Residential Development | Central London

Up to £100,000 + £5,000 Travel Allowance

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to take the commercial lead on a prestigious heritage redevelopment

We are currently recruiting for a high-profile Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function on a landmark £95m project in Central London, transforming a Grade I & II listed building into luxurious high-end residential apartments.

The Role:

As Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and contractual aspects of the project, reporting directly to senior stakeholders and managing a team of 3 Quantity Surveyors. You will be the primary commercial interface with the client and play a key role in delivering a complex heritage refurbishment on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the commercial strategy and reporting for the £95m heritage residential development

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3 Quantity Surveyors

Act as the main point of contact for the client on all commercial matters

Administer contracts, variations, and cost control processes

Work closely with the design, delivery, and procurement teams to ensure commercial objectives are met

Ensure risk management and cost reporting are rigorously maintained

Requirements:

Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on high-value residential or heritage projects

Strong leadership and client-facing skills

Experience working on listed buildings or complex refurbishment projects (highly desirable)

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (RICS chartership preferred)

Strong contractual knowledge (JCT contracts experience essential)

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: Up to £100,000 per annum

Travel allowance: £5,000 per annum
