Construction Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a well-established and growing built-environment, property and construction consultancy to cover the London area.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional consultancy delivering a varied portfolio of construction projects across sectors including commercial, retail and leisure.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of projects, working closely with clients, design teams, contractors and other stakeholders throughout both the pre-construction and post-construction stages.
The Role
As a Construction Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Managing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects
Managing projects through pre-construction and post-construction stages
Coordinating and managing design teams
Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
Managing contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders
Contract administration
Preparing and maintaining key project documentation
Monitoring project progress, budgets and programmes
Providing regular project updates and reports to clients
Identifying and managing project risks
Supporting value management and value engineering exercises
Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timescales
Managing multiple stakeholders and maintaining strong working relationships
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
Ensuring a high standard of service is delivered throughout each projectWhat We're Looking For
You should have previous Project Management experience within the construction or property sector, ideally gained within a consultancy or client-side environment.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience as a Project Manager within construction
Experience working for a construction/property consultancy or client-side organisation
Strong knowledge of both pre-construction and post-construction project delivery
Experience administering construction contracts
Experience managing design teams, contractors and consultants
Strong client-facing experience
Experience delivering projects within commercial, retail or leisure environments
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Strong organisational and project management skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience managing or mentoring junior members of staff
Good commercial awareness
Strong Microsoft Office skills
A construction-related degree would be advantageous but is not essential
