Clerk Of Works

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and workmanship.

* Inspect completed and ongoing works against drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.

* Identify defects, poor workmanship and areas of non-compliance.

* Undertake snagging inspections and monitor the close-out of outstanding works.

* Monitor compliance with relevant building regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.

* Raise and record quality issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are undertaken.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

* Strong background in construction, site inspection, building control or building surveying.

* Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, snagging and defect management.

* Good knowledge of building regulations, health and safety and construction standards.

* Experience ensuring construction works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and requirements.

* HNC/HND in Construction Management, Building Surveying or Civil Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.

* Candidates without the above qualification may be considered with 10+ years' relevant construction experience.

* Full UK Driving Licence
