Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Overview
We are seeking an enthsiastic Assistant QS to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial aspects of construction projects are accurately estimated and controlled. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

This role will suit someone with 1-2 years solid experience who is passionate about learning and development. Team player who will get stuck in to the projects. You could be a Grad with a years' industry experience.

Responsibilities

* Assist in prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.

* Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial plans.

* Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.

* Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost control measures are implemented.

* Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

* Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate terms to achieve the best value for the project.

* Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to the project.

* Experience

* Some experience in cost control within the construction industry is highly desirable.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

* Proficiency in relevant software applications for quantity surveying and cost management.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail
