The Role

We are seeking a skilled and driven Clerk of Works with a focus on stock condition surveys. Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough stock condition surveys in tenanted properties across South London, assessing overall condition and identifying necessary works.

Record accurate site inspection data, including photographic evidence and dictated notes.

*

Produce clear and actionable reports, offering recommendations to improve housing stock quality.

*

Collaborate with clients throughout the surveying process to ensure needs are understood and met.

*

Maintain robust, accurate data to inform asset management and ensure compliance.

*

Independently manage the successful delivery of Clerk of Works services across multiple projects.

*

Provide consistently high levels of service to both clients and colleagues.

About You

We’re looking for someone with the following experience and attributes:

Proven experience conducting stock condition surveys.

*

Qualified or experienced in assessments to HHSRS standards (or willing to undertake training).

*

CSCS card holder (or willing to complete the necessary certification).

*

Strong understanding of the construction industry, including materials, trades, building methods, and relevant legislation.

*

Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality control.

*

Membership or licentiate status with the ICWCI (or willingness to gain accreditation).

*

Technically adept in identifying construction defects and assessing workmanship.

*

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain objective.

*

Comfortable using IT systems.

*

Honest, observant, and thorough, ensuring all work and materials meet required standards.

*

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites across the UK as required
