Business Development Manager

About the Company:
Our client is a well-respected main contractor, specialising in range of projects and frame works including the delivery of high-quality cut & carve refurbishment projects across London. With projects typically ranging from £1m to £20m across a variety of sectors , they have built a reputation for delivering excellence, particularly in complex, live environments where precision and communication are key.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a dynamic and well-connected Business Development Manager to help drive new opportunities and expand their presence in the London commercial refurbishment market.

The Role:
This is a key strategic role focused on identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities. Reporting directly to the board, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with key industry players and generating a consistent pipeline of high-value commercial office projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across London’s commercial refurbishment market.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, and other key stakeholders.

* Attend meetings, networking events, and industry functions to promote the company’s services.

* Collaborate with pre-construction, estimating, and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover of leads and proposals.

* Prepare compelling pitch documents, presentations, and capability statements.

* Maintain accurate records of all interactions and opportunities via the CRM system.

* Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activity to support strategic planning.

About You:

* Proven experience in a business development role within the construction industry, ideally focused on commercial office refurbishments or fit-outs.

* Well-established network within the London property and construction sector.

* Track record of successfully winning projects in the £1m–£20m range.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a confident and personable approach.

* Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.

* Based in or around London, with the flexibility to attend meetings and site visits as needed.
