Electrical Contracts Manager – Heritage & Super-Prime Residential Projects
£65,000–£75,000 + Travel | 1 Day Office (South London), 4 Days Site-Based | Project Values: £500k–£2m | 26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

We’re representing a specialist electrical contractor delivering high-quality installations across some of London’s most prestigious residential addresses. With a focus on heritage refurbishments and super-prime new builds, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to take full ownership of multiple projects across the capital.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role that requires deep technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and a proven track record delivering to the exacting standards expected on ultra-prime residential schemes. Projects typically range between £500k and £2 million and include complex lighting, controls, and integration with AV and building management systems.

The Setup:
You’ll split your time between site (4 days) and the company’s South London office (1 day), overseeing delivery teams, managing commercial performance, and maintaining strong client and consultant relationships.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage all phases of the electrical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover

* Ensure projects are delivered on programme, to spec, and within budget

* Oversee design reviews, technical submissions, procurement, and subcontractor coordination

* Maintain quality and compliance in line with BS7671, building control, and client expectations

* Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and site teams

* Prepare and manage project documentation including reports, RAMS, variations, and handover files

* Lead on planning, labour management, progress tracking, and problem-solving

* Respect the requirements of heritage buildings while integrating smart systems and high-end finishes

* Coordinate with AV, lighting control (Lutron), and BMS suppliers as part of broader M&E coordination

* Drive site safety, standards, and team performance across multiple live jobs

What You’ll Need

* Proven experience managing electrical projects in prime/super-prime residential and/or heritage refurbishments

* Strong working knowledge of Lutron, BMS, and AV/smart systems

* Excellent understanding of BS7671, building regs, and H&S documentation

* Commercially aware and confident managing budgets, variations, and procurement

* Strong leadership and client communication skills

* ECS Gold Card, SMSTS (or equivalent) desirable
