Are you an experienced Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with a passion for high-end residential and bespoke construction projects? My client is a well-established and fast-growing contractor based in Southwest London, and they’re looking for a skilled professional to join their commercial team due to continued growth and new project wins.

The Role – Estimator / Quantity Surveyor:
You’ll take responsibility for a range of projects from £100k bespoke builds to larger high-end residential schemes up to £3 million. Working closely with the project and commercial teams, you’ll be involved in estimating, cost planning, contract management, and financial oversight from pre-construction through to final accounts. This is a hands-on role offering autonomy, variety, and the chance to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing detailed cost estimates from architectural drawings and specifications
Managing budgets and controlling project costs throughout the lifecycle
Supporting bid submissions and client presentations
Conducting quantity take-offs and site measurements
Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
Identifying and mitigating financial risks
Managing project variations and contractual changes
Contributing to value engineering and cost optimisation What They’re Looking For:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the construction sector
Experience with residential or bespoke projects is highly desirable
Strong understanding of estimating and cost control principles
Proficient with estimating software and Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
A team player with strong communication abilities
Degree-qualified in construction, surveying, or a related field is preferred but not essential
Able to commute to Surbiton or relocate as required What’s on Offer:
