Building Surveyor

Waites Recruitment Constultancy LTD are seeking an experienced full time Building Surveyor for a client based in Newark.

My client seeking an energetic and motivated Building Surveyor to join their growing team at the Newark office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of challenging and rewarding projects. For the right candidate, the role offers strong prospects for progression to a senior position within the company.

What you’ll be doing:

Working as part of a small Building Surveying team that are involved in a variety of different sectors, including commercial, industrial, education, residential and heritage

Current areas of work include:

Condition reports. o Party Wall Awards.

Diagnosis and remedy of building defects. o Pre-acquisition reports.

Preparation of dilapidation reports. o Negotiation of dilapidation claims.

Small project works, including preparation of drawings, specification writing, schedules of work, preparing JCT Contracts and undertaking the Contract Administrator role.

What we’re looking for:

* A degree qualified, recently Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS).

* Experience in some, or all, of the above aspects of Building Surveying.

* Minimum 5-10 years experience.

* Ability to use AutoCAD is desirable, but not essential.

* Proficiency in MS Office Suite essential.

* GoReport software experience desirable, but not essential.

* Full driving license.
